Joel Koehn

Joel Koehn sells land, acreages, and homes across northeast Iowa, with a particular focus on the Driftless Area and the farms, timber, bluff country, and recreational ground that make this part of the state unique. Based out of Fayette in Fayette County, Joel works with buyers and sellers throughout northeast Iowa who want straightforward advice, strong representation, and someone willing to take the time to understand what a property is really worth and what matters most to the people involved.

Outside of real estate, Joel has built much of his career in emergency medical services as a critical care paramedic, educator, and leader. Working in EMS has taught him how to stay calm when decisions matter, communicate clearly, pay attention to the details, and give people honest information even when the answer is not necessarily the easiest one to hear. As an instructor and mentor, he has also spent years taking complicated subjects and making them understandable… something he brings directly into his work with landowners, buyers, and sellers.

Joel believes a good real estate agent should do more than put a sign in the ground or open a door. Whether he is helping a family understand the value of a farm that has been passed down for generations, walking a buyer through the details of a recreational property, or explaining the steps of a transaction, his goal is to educate his clients so they can make a decision they feel confident about. He is not interested in simply telling a seller the number they want to hear or pushing a buyer toward a property that is not the right fit.

Joel works with row crop farms, timber and recreational tracts, hunting ground, acreages, and residential properties across Fayette, Clayton, Winneshiek, Allamakee, Chickasaw, Howard, Bremer, Buchanan, Delaware, and Dubuque counties.
